For all of you out there who wonder what bell-ringing is really like, here are the answers to a few of those FAQs.

Is it hard work?

No, not really.

Do I need to be fit?

Not especially, but it may help

Are there any age limitations?

About nine to ninety is the usual range

How long does it take to learn?

The basics take a few weeks, followed by a lifetime of continuous improvement.

Can you really go through the roof?

No (only if you slip when nicking the lead!)

How do you get involved?

Ask at your local church - they should have details of all the towers in your area

What is Quasimodo?

At St Anne's we have an automated chiming mechanism that works at the push of a switch. It is very useful for those occasions when the real life ringers are not available.

How do I get involved at St Anne's?

Which services do you ring at?

Sunday morning services at 10.00 am for 15 minutes.
